Mark Deeter, President of Deeter Lighting, Inc began his career in lighting in 1975 in Las Vegas, Nevada working in sales for a division of American Brands/Swingline Staples known as Commercial Lighting Products.  Following his successful time there, he joined 21st Century Lighting in San Carlos, California as the Western Regional Sales Manager.  At 21st Century Lighting he met his future business partner, Vice President, and wife, Barb Deeter.  She had begun her career in lighting in 1979 and together the two of them relocated to the Reno/Sparks area of northern Nevada and formed the company known today as Deeter Lighting, Inc, The Lighting Guys!   Mark and Barb opened the doors to Deeter Lighting in 1981 and have remained a solid and competitive wholesale lighting distributor ever since.

The Lighting Guys are proud to supply lighting products to all venues of commercial and industrial business, municipal governments, the gaming industry, sign companies, electrical contractors and the public both locally and nationwide.   In recent years we have begun working closely with housing developers and builders, designing lighting for new homes as well as coordinating the purchase and delivery of "house packs"; the complete set of fixtures needed to finish and compliment a new home.  Our services in this area include design or selection, bid, purchase, labeling and secure delivery.  We have worked with such great names as Toll Brothers, DR Horton, Altman - Ott, Ryder Homes and more!

In addition we provide a full line of high-quality energy-efficient LED lamps, fluorescent lamps, linear and compact, HID, and halogen lamps. We offer all types of ballasts, both electronic and magnetic, electrical supply, residential and commercial fixtures. Our most recent and most exciting development has been in the emerging LED lighting market.  We offer LED retrofit designs, LED replacement advice and have recently designed and offered the best in LED sign lighting: our 21 LED .6W S14 sign bulb - replacing the standard 11W S14 incandescent sign bulb used in signs throughout the world! Our LED S14 sign bulb cuts energy consumption by up to 80% when compared to standard incandescent bulbs!  We are excited to be innovators in this new field and look forward to working with customers everywhere to enable and ease their transition into this extremely energy efficient lighting atmosphere!
